What I learned in high-school

I have decided to write this post here not only because I think this is an international issue, but also because I don't want my potato-headed classmates to get offended-again. High-school is supposed to be that great period in your life when you have not a care in the world, party your booty off and try to learn some things which will help you during life.

Now, that you got the idyllic image in your mind, let me tell you about MY high-school experiences. In the first post I made, I mentioned that I took two years of acting, and now I'm planning to switch high-schools. This post is, in fact, a short list of why I'm leaving.

  1. Stupidity is at high rank. The more stupid you are, the more popular you are, and everybody is DYING to hang out with you. I suggest you go hang yourselves.
  2. Nobody cares you're smart. From your dull classmates, to your teachers, intelligence is something nobody cares about. I can frankly say that in two years I only met four teachers who were actually interested in the children. I have to admit, the high-school I'm currently in is not exactly brilliant. So, if you have a smart and working student, like me, you shouldn't treat him/her like crap. Except the four teachers mentioned, none of the others cared about hard-work. I found this deeply sad, given the fact that I had given up my chance of going to a much better high-school in order to follow my passion, which was acting. I have to be honest and say that there were two more teachers who did their job every time, with passion, despite us having been nasty to them.
  3. Gossip ALL the people! Whether you're a student or a teacher, gossiping the others who work more than you is what you really have to do in class. Not teaching or learning, that's for noobs.
  4. The more you work, the less you get. Oh, so you worked your ass off for a play? Here, let me not tell you about the rehearsal! Oh, you did it again, you silly piece of poop? Here, let me give your role to some bitch who can't even read the names right!
And the list could go on for pages. I'd be a bitch not to admit I'll be missing a couple teachers and a couple class-mates, though. So, after two years of acting, what have I decided? That I'll be studying business and advertising. Long live incompetence!

Music Nowadays

Lately, I've seen a lot of posts all over the internet complaining that music nowadays is just bullcrap. Even in real life, my friends [OH MA GAWD, I HAVE FRIENDS, OMG OMG OMG yes, yes I do, in fact] keep saying that "music is not good anymore". And this thing annoys the hell out of me. Everybody is saying that "Oh, The Beatles, ABBA, Bob Marley, this is REAL music, not the abusive things you hear today!" Do you think that 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s music was all great? Do you think those times didn't have their crappy "artists"? They existed from the very beginning, but their songs didn't make through time. Obviously. So, you think that all today's music is crap? Well, excuse me, ladies and gentlemen, but WHO THE HELL MAKES YOU LISTEN TO CRAPPY MUSIC?! Everybody keeps saying "Oh, Justin Bieber is gay! Oh, Lady Gaga is crap!", making lame "artists" even more popular. If you think that Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Keisha and the others are music, then there's definitely something wrong with you. Our generation has great bands, too! If they are not mainstream and do not infect your eyes and ears everywhere, it doesn't mean they don't exist. Let's not forget Foo Fighters, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Korn, Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand, Blink 182, Bloodhound Gang and others, who make music industry great. Remember that music is your choice. And instead of complaining of how bad today's music is, find the bands that are good and promote them.

P.S.: If you want good music, forget about MTV. Switch to VH1.
